1996: Inception
Chaitanya Rural Development Society was founded with a mission to empower rural communities, focusing on education, health, environment, agriculture, and social awareness programs.

2000: Formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
Initiated the formation of SHGs to promote savings and credit among rural women, fostering financial independence and social security.

2005: Promotion of Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs)
Began promoting FPOs to enhance farmers' income and provide sustainable agricultural practices.

2010: Expansion into Watershed Development
Undertook watershed development projects to improve water resources and agricultural productivity in rural areas.

2015: Recognition and Awards
Received the Best NGO State Level Award in “Mysore Huli Tippu Sulthan State Award” and Best NGO Award in “Jala Samvardan Yojane” Water Tank Development Project at DPU Level.

2020: Resilience During COVID-19
Undertook watershed development projects to improve water resources and agricultural productivity in rural areas.

2023: Strategic Goals Set for 2026
Outlined strategic goals including enhancing the income of 5000 farmers by 50%, promoting agri-enterprises for 150 farmers, supporting 200 differently-abled women, and securing livelihoods for 500 youth in self-employment by 2026.
